Uber is a clear example of a closed marketplace, where the platform captures most of the value and revenue, often at the expense of the people actually doing the work. What makes this vision compelling is the idea of challenging that model by building a more open and balanced system. It’s inspiring to see a startup taking on established players with a fundamentally different approach.
